Thin is Beautiful, Skinny is Fashionable!
Modelswith skeletal frames parading on the catwalk as well as reed thin movie stars in glossy magazines have a big influence on “anorexia people“.
Anorexia causes severe damage to the body that, if left untreated, could result in death.
Anorexia nervosa is one of the three known eating disorders. It is characterized by the excessive desire to lose weight. Anorexia people are obsessed by the desire to be thin. Anorexia causes people to toy with their food, to exercise excessively and to take laxatives, diuretics and diet pills. It is really quite easy to spot anorexia people. Apart from being very thin, you will notice their eating habits. They will chew very slowly, push the food around the plate and basically try to show everybody that they, too, are eating. They have this compulsion to avoid food consumption for fear of gaining weight.
To some people, tip top shape is being extremely thin. Dancers, ramp models, and runners need to constantly watch their weight to maintain their standing in their particular fields. Conversely, depression, anxiety, unhappiness and other emotions causes anorexia. Anorexia people often feel that the only way they can deal with a depressing situation is to control their food consumption.
Just like with any other eating disorders, treating anorexia can be a challenge. This is due to the fact that anorexia people often hide their situation. They wear baggy clothes to hide their wasting body, avoid eating with other people and generally refuse to have social contact with people. And even if their condition is brought out in the open, they often refuse treatment.
Anorexia is a serious eating disorder that could have detrimental effects on the body’s vital organs. It is therefore necessary to have a treatment plan to address the situation. Anorexia causes people to have deteriorated physical health. Those afflicted may be hospitalized to address severe malnutrition and to arrest any complications of the vital organs.
When the physical condition is stabilized, psychotherapy sessions have to be undertaken to explore the causes and to resolve emotional concerns. Family members as well as support groups are need to help the afflicted cope. The family’s involvement will lessen the risk of relapse. The concern of family members will encourage anorexia people that life is beautiful and that it should not be wasted with the inane desire to be fashionably thin.
