“God, it’s beautiful!” This was uttered by a 64 year old lady when she saw the painting-the painting that had been hanging for quite some time in her drawing room but was unnoticed because the lady’s vision was impaired by cataracts. Now, after undergoing a refractive cataract surgery, she was finally able to see the striking blend of colors…the minutest attention to detail the painter had painstakingly done to create this work of art.

Types of Eye Surgery
Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) is a surgery performed to correct the shape of the cornea of a patient with mild nearsightedness. A very precise computer controlled laser is used to remove microscopic tissues from the cornea’s outer surface. This is a relatively easy out patient procedure that can be done in a matter of minutes in a Colorado eye surgery center. The patient’s vision will be improved in two or three days.
Colorado eye surgery surgeons are highly skilled in Lasik surgery, a more advanced Colorado laser vision correction procedure. The surgeon would need to make an incision on the cornea using a cutting device called microkeratome. A laser would then be used to remove the corneal tissue and after the procedure is done the flap would be replaced.
