Have you ever felt pain as you urinate, or have you noticed that lately, your urgency to urinate becomes frequent as compared to before? Chances are, you might have developed a prostate infection. Prostatitis, as it is clinically termed, is a common disease among men ranging between thirty to fifty years old. Basically, it refers to the swelling of the prostate gland, an important component of the male reproductive system. Many routines and activities have been formulated that aim to lessen the chances of acquiring a prostate infection and one such routine is through using prostate massagers.
There are many causes by which a man can acquire a prostate infection. While there are millions of men who develop this disease as they reach the vulnerable age, only five percent have known etiologies, the remaining ninety-five have unknown causes. Among the known causes are fungal infections, viral incursions, bacterial and parasitic invasions and the like. The assumed route by which these foreign organisms reach the prostate is through previous urethral infections and movement of bacteria or fungi containing urine to the prostate gland. These foreign bodies can be easily removed from the system through regular ejaculations and one good way of doing so is through stimulating the prostate gland using a prostate massager.
Classifications of prostate infection are acute and chronic infections. Acute prostate infection usually manifests the following symptoms: increased voiding frequency, pain while voiding urine, painful sensation in the perineum/ genital area, difficulty or pain during in ejaculation, and the common cardinal signs of infection. On the other hand, chronic prostatitis may arrive with the following less severe manifestations such as increased urinary frequency accompanied with pain, pain in lower back and reproductive organs, sexual dysfunction, and unusual discharges in the genitals.
What then should you do if you have felt these symptoms in your daily activities? Usually, men just let these symptoms pass thinking of it as a usual problem which would only disappear in a few days time. However, when a prostate infection is left untreated, it may lead to further complications in the reproductive system which may cause degenerative diseases and sexual dysfunctions.
A prostate infection is a very concerning disease. This is not just a simple inflammation of a body organ for unlike the local inflammations and swellings, there is a possibility of developing benign prostatic hyperplasia or simply prostate cancer, as revealed by current studies. The use of a prostate massager is just an alternative way of releasing toxins and bacteria that may have accumulated in the prostate. Through this, prostate infection, and eventually prostate cancer, can be greatly avoided.
